When it comes to media literacy, I am primarily a motivator. I focus teaching strategies to allow my students to be independent learners that can discover and develop their inner creativity. I am a firm believer in developing a critical perspective in my students that encourages them to ask more "how" and why" questions about various types of media they experience. Learning to ask good questions from a critical perspective is, in my opinion, a primary goal of education. I think that implementing various forms of media and technology in the classroom is an effective way to engage and motivate students. As a motivator, I inspire creativity and encourage participation, collaboration, and active engagement in learning, especially surrounding various forms of media and technology.
